Matjaz Potrc met his sister Marjetica Potrc on August 29th, 2018 in Cajnica Ljubljana. While he mentioned his book projects, Marjetica explained some of her busy constant all over the world artistic engagements.

RoME 2018 Boulder conference

Matjaz was at the Boulder RoME 2018 conference where he and Vojko Strahovnik commented on the paper In Moods for Reasons. In Boulder, and then in Sink Boulder restaurant. Met Alastair Norcross, Mylan Engel, Bruce Russell, Eva Kittay, Julia Driver, among others.

Bled 2018 and other matters

Professor Potrc at the Bled 2018 Ethics conference, whwre he had Moral seemings presentation with Vojko Strahovnik. Good symposium, directed by Justin Weinberg. Professor Potrc as well took place at Rijeka symposium before, and prepares himself for RoME2018 ethichs Boulder CO symposium. Before Bled, Terry Horgan and Vojko Strahovnik collaboirated with Matjaz on the new book that wsas preliminarily accepted by OUP, on epistemic agency.

Berlin New Year 2018

Professor Potrc experienced transition to 2018 at Berlin Moabit bridge with a lot of fireworks around. Here he is depicted at Berlin Hamburger Bhf modern art museum, where Matjaz's sister Marjetica house sculpture (which museum recently acquired for its standing collection) is the main exhibit at the entrance. Matjaz is depicted along with the sculpture. On January the 1st he visited Brandenburg Gate.

Reference is a philosophical topics whose aim is to determine our relation to the objective world, to the items in this world. A look at the treatments of the problem of reference shows however that they all center at the zero point, the conscious perspective enabling our living in the world. Consciousness or phenomenology thus becomes important as the very basis of relation to objectivity. Agentive involvement of the referential agent goes along with it. Frege, Russell, Kripke and other authors are briefly reviewed, as is their impact upon analytic philosophy. Space of reasons is proposed as a counterbalance to the space of causes. Topics such as art, beautiful patterns, free will and first of all the characteristics of the experiential world are discussed, as is the Dasein's being-in-the-world. Reism is proposed as being compatible with austere realism monistic metaphysical project, with the basic distinction between the ontic, whatever one finds in the world, and between the ontology, the ultimate constitution of reality.
